Moto E4 Verizon version unlocking question

The Verizon (CDMA) version of Moto E4 is available many places for a very low price. In order to use on Consumer Cellular (GSM) with a SIM will I need to unlock it? Can I get unlock code from Verizon or Consumer Cellular for it, or must I use one of the unlock code sellers on the internet? And how do I choose a reliable one?

Verizon phones are all SIM-unlocked. However, they may not contain the bands/radios needed to support non-Verizon carriers. Make sure the phone has the radios needed for Consumer Cellular.
