Moto G 2014 Receiving Stagefright Update in India

Guys, just now received the notification for stagefright update on my Moto G 2014.

Download size only 8mb.

So guess its just a firmware update and not Lollipop 5.1.1

Why Motorola cant give an approx date when Android 5.1.1 update will be available for Moto G 2nd Gen in India?

The 1st gen Moto G started receiving the Lollipop 5.1 update couple of days back in India. So i guess the Moto G2 should receive it soon.

Good Morning All,

Today morning I got the update notification on both my Moto G 2nd Gen mobiles for the stage fright update of 132.5mb.I haven't updated yet.Will see in the evening. ArnieD told the update size was only 8 mb. I'm confused.

The updates included in the package are listed when you get the notification as shown in the pic below.





Just check the list. Its possible you are getting the Lollipop 5.1 update.

Download size: areond 35 mb

Version 23.46.4.en.US

Still on Android 5.1.1

I heard for Moto G2 we will get Android 5.1.1 by September 29.

Is that right?

Updated moto G2
Android version still: 5.0.2
system version: 22.56.3
build version: LXB22.99-16.3

any other new updates comes or not ?? 5.1.1?
