moto g 2015, nexus 5x, or wait for moto g 2016?

I'm trying to decide on buying a nexus 5x for $335 (amazon), a moto g 2015 16gig for $199 (best buy on sale) or wait for the new moto g 2016? Any one have experience with both the 5X and the G 2015 phones? Is the 5X worth the extra $ for someone that does very little gaming and more phone calls, texts, some internet, and snapshots?
Thanks Charlie

Based on your priorities, I'd skip the 5x. Only one feature on the 5x would benefit you, the camera. Moto G camera isn't terrible, but the 5x is superior. You'll have to decide if that is worth $136 dollars. Other than that, I'd wait for the 2016 G. $199 for the 2015 isn't that great of a sale. Only $20 off normal price. Likely, the 2016 G won't cost a lot more, and it will have better specs.

I feel the opposite... I think the 5x is a solid handset and easily outperforms the Moto G3, it has a larger screen, better camera and if your into flashing, well, it's a Nexus, it doesn't get more flash-friendly than that. The Nexus will start going at a reduced price very soon, it always does right before the new models come out (remember the Nexus 4 for $349 originally? I got one just before Google released the Nexus 5 for $199)

The Moto G 2015 was a serious bargain 8 months ago, but now with the Huawei Honor 5x and a few other 5.5" for a $200 price tag, it is just a solid performer. TBH, it is a really good phone even at the current price, but there are better ones depending on your needs and wants.

As far as the Moto G 2016... it will be the first real Lenovo handset, so we will have to wait an see. The jury is still out and we just don't know how it will all shake out. On one hand it is hard to recommend waiting, but on the other it could be a good idea. Guess it depends on your urgency here.

Anyway, if I needed a phone today and had the cash, I would grab the Nexus 5x, if I didn't have the cash I would probably go Moto G3 or Huawei Honor 5x... If I was in a position to wait, I might throw an extra $20 or whatever in my phone fund every paycheck and wait a few months and get something higher end, or maybe a mid-ranger and a BT headset... who knows.

Might not be much help, but that's my 2 cents worth.
