Moto g 2015 questions

So I am in the market for a new android phone. I haven't owned one since my Verizon galaxy nexus which I loved battery life not so much. Anyway I have an iPhone 6 Plus now and I am looking to get the moto g 2015. The 2gb ram model is back ordered and it isn't available locally. Is it really worth the wait for the higher ram model? I don't game on my phone and I have 1 gig of ram now on my iPhone and it's just fine. Does anyone who owns that model have any incite does it lag more or is it dreadful to use? I don't want to downgrade performance my iPhone is adequate it's the android interface I want. Any input is helpful thanks!

I would wait for the upgraded version. Number one reason is storage space. Even if you don't do games the storage will disappear as soon as you initially load up the phone with apps. I am the same. Only a few little games. Just knowing I won't run out of internal storage was worth the upgrade. Get the 2gb 16gb model
