MOTO G 5G 2023 - I can't transfer files by USB when I plug in my phone to my PC? help?

I have a Moto G 5G 2023 cell phone & I'm having a problem with it. I can't transfer files from my phone to my PC when I plug it in with a USB cable (I tried MANY different USB cables and none of them work & I tried plugging it into multiple computers). but it worked before though but it isn't working now.

Usually, there's an option to change the USB settings when you plug a phone into a computer by USB BUT that option doesn't show up on my phone at all when i plug in it by USB, even on the pull down screen it doesn't show up at all.

I tried fixing this but i can't get it to work. I even tried enabling Developer Options & I switched on USB debugging BUT IT STILL IS NOT WORKING!

does anyone know how I can fix it so i can transfer files from my cellphone to PC when it's plugged in?
I don't want to have to reset my cellphone because I can't really create a backup of it & that would be a MAJOR HASSLE

but is there anyway I can fix it and get it to work?
please help ♥

Welcome to Android Central! Also, check the phone's USB port to make sure it's clear of any debris. Use a can of compressed air to blow it out, and a dry toothbrush to scrub the contacts.

i have never had to do that with any other phone i've had before...
but i did try installing the drivers and it still doesn't work when i plug my phone into my computer...
even tried restarting my computer & the phone.
it doesn't give me an option to switch to file transfer when i plug my moto g5g 2023 into my computer. it just acts like i pluged it into a charger.

Usually when u don't get that notification for USB in notifications panel is because the cable and yes I read you had tried a couple but you need a known Good Cable to try on a different device to see if that USB settings shows up , I can talk from personal experience that cable was the issue after trying multiple.

From my experience I had gone through 3 cables that would charge but not transfer data over and they looked in good shape, just sharing what I went through .

You might want to take it to a repair center and have them check it for you .

As I previously alluded to, the issue may have more to do with the phone's USB port. If you've already tried cleaning the port out, then I agree with mustang7757 that a repair shop is the next step (or contacting Moto directly, if the phone is still under warranty).

seriously?? take it to a repair man??
the phone works whenever i connect a usb flashdrive AND/OR Usb Hub into it but it just doesn't work when i plug it into a computer BUT IT WORKS WHEN I PLUG A USB FLASHDRIVE INTO IT SO IT SHOULDN'T BE A HARDWARE ISSUE!
how the heck a repair guy help me fix it when it's clearly a software issue??
Does anyone here know how else i could fix it??

I looked through the manual & USB DOES NOT show up under connected devices under settings when i have my phone plugged in to my computer.

i downloaded the software fix thing & every single time I try it, this is all that shows up...

I’d guess a dirty or damaged USB port on the phone, as others have suggested. You haven’t told us yet whether you’ve cleaned it. My own experience of dirty ports is that they either don’t work, or only work intermittently.

You could also try Safe Mode. If it does no good, it will do no harm.

I have the same issue with these phone I've had 3 different ones none will connect to any PC with usb I'm pretty sure it's just this phone the 2020 - 2023 have no issues and the 24 has none you can try and get a warranty repair but they will just send out a replacement phone with the exact same problem best bet is to get a new phone that's not the Moto g stylus 2023 5g
