Moto G - PC only recognises SD card and not internal storage... HELP!

I'm not technical minded so if you can help in the most straight forward way, or with step by step guidance it would be most appreciated!

When i plug my phone into my PC to trasfer my photos across, it only recognises the SD and not the internal storage. I have not idea how to get it to work. I have tried removing the SD card but it then recognises nothing.

I have the file transfer selected to MTP

What are your other options for file transfer?

If you have Camera(PTP) under USB options, choose it and that will help you transfer photos from smartphone to computer.

Welcome to Android Central! When you're connected via MTP, look in the drives and devices that are listed in Windows Explorer--are you sure that "Moto G" isn't buried in there somewhere?
