I also have Moto G 2023.... :X Guess I'm just gonna have to find out which android app is the OTA update crap, so I can tell Linux terminal to chuck that app out the window from my phone.. Hell my phone already tried to update to Android 13, but I somehow stopped it through dev settings.
A bit off topic here but, I just found out earlier today using Android adb on Linux is way freaking easier then windows ever was (or will ever be in the future). I can make this hyper annoying popup pencil disappear *runs terminal command adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 (whatever the offending app is) and SLAP!!* It's gone!!!
Words of caution:
To those who are now want to do that using Linux terminal with android adb to remove bloatware and crapware apps from their devices. Please be cautious because it can completely wreck devices if the wrong apps get tossed out.
Also when running the terminal command adb shell uninstall DO NOT forget the -- before user 0 otherwise your device will just spam it's start up sound at you and make you think that's its restarted (ask me how I know that one XD XD XD)
Craziest part is that Linux adb terminal trick works on ALL android phones regardless of how hyper sensitive the manufactures of said droid device is. It even works on ALL of Amazon's mobile devices too.
Chromecast sticks, and Fire TVs are not affected last I checked sinc they can not be accessed by Linux terminal. Fire sticks MAY be able to be used with the adb terminal trick since it has a usb port but I haven't tested that out just yet, plus I don't have an extra firestick in case the one I have completely flips out about being accessed by terminal...
Yes I know I'm a crazy penguin, but at least I will be able to keep my old devices from making a one way trip to a device shredder. Just wish this worked on Apple mobile devices lmao XD
