Today I bought a Moto G(here in Canada) and it already has android KitKat 4.4 installed on it. Usually from reviews and personal experience I have noticed they come with a previous installation of android JellyBean and then you update it to KitKat. Does this mean someone else bought it, updated it to KitKat and then returned it? or something else? Should I return it or keep it?

btw my Moto G's screen is 4.5 inches so it is 2013 version I suppose. Also I noticed one of the ones I returned(because of faulty back cover or something else) also had KitKat on it. So is it a common thing or does it mean someone bought it and then updated it and returned it?

That doesn't mean it's a phone that someone else bought and returned. I'm sure that by now Motorola is shipping them with Kit Kat preloaded.

I bought it from Walmart, not sure but the one I returned a couple days ago had JellyBean installed on it. So just asking.
