Moto g6 Can Voicemail be turned off later after it is set up?

Hello,

I just got a new Moto g6 and have not set up a voicemail yet. I generally don't use voicemail, but may be in a position to need to have it temporarily.

My question - if I do set up voicemail on this new phone, can it be turned off or disconnected once I decide I don't need it anymore? Or once I set it up - am I going to be stuck with having it?

Which carrier? Voicemail is controlled by the carrier, so give their support team a call.
