Moto G7 stuck in fastboot flash mode

I accidentally put my phone in fastboot flash mode (baby woke me up in the night and I sleepily fat-fingered it I think).

I had no trouble with the power or volume buttons before, but now pressing the power button to select "start" (or any other option) doesn't work, and pressing volume down doesn't do anything either. I can only use volume up to toggle through the options.

While this is going on, it appears to be turning off and on every few seconds, not long enough for me to do anything with it, like plugging it into my PC to troubleshoot it.

The battery is also (I believe) not removable so that's not an option.

Thanks for your help :)

Welcome to Android Central! Try forcing a shutdown by pressing and holding Power for about 30 seconds (time it, since 30 seconds can seem like a really long time when you're pressing a button). If it shuts down, then try powering on again normally.

I'm thinking so, just thought I'd try and sort it myself first. The power button just started working, but it still doesn't stay on long enough for me to hold it down for 30 seconds.

Hi thanks for the reply.

As I said, the power button doesn't do anything, and the phone doesn't stay on long enough to hold it down for 30 seconds.

Oh, ok -- you had only mentioned about using the Power button to select the Start option in the fastboot menu.

But does it stop the phone from turning on and off over and over again?

Try this , doesn't matter if it's rebooting or turn off for a second , hold the power and volume up sane time for 30 seconds or a minute and see what happens
