I just saw that Motorola is offering the 16G for $99 & the 32G for $150 directly from their site. Awesome pricing.

However, if this an off contract, unsubsidized cost for the phone?

AT&T customer here, my wife is 6 months away from a subsidized upgrade. If this is just an unsubsidized phone direct from Motorola, that's one helluva deal!

As has been said that is the att contracted price. The off contract price has been reduced also. It is now 529.99 + tax for the 32GB model and free shipping. I could have sworn it was 629.99 just a few days ago. Glad I waited!

I called moto directly yesterday. They confirmed all of the above. I asked about the 32G off contract price & they stated $629. The CSR wasn't aware of any price reduction. Good to see they lowered the off contract price a smidge. Good price drop though.

Apparently the price reduction took effect on Moto Maker late afternoon yesterday!

that's pretty standard for retail, actually, standard is often once it arrives to you, too bad, but sometimes they go up to 14 days. Does no one here buy their electronics with an amex or discover?

I was going to place an order today for 32gb off contract and at the end of check out it states its going to be available Nov 1. So Nov 1 is when its going to ship out by? Second question where is it coming from? I am in So Cal so maybe I would get it by 6th of Nov?

Yes. If you bought it with an Amex and they drop the price amex will reimburse you for the difference.

I ordered mine yesterday (10/25/13) and already got a tracking number for Monday delivery. I am in DFW and they ship from Fort Worth but it was shipped FedEx standard overnight.

If it is a network phone it is the network. The developers edition gets updated by moto.

Although I'm not defending them, Apple would have definitely refunded the $100 even after the "free look" time is lapsed. Seems like if you try to speak with someone at Motorola you are connected with Mumbai, Bangladesh or some place similar, with people that speak a very different English than plain old USA English.. They make a deal of the phone being built in Texas, so why not support the device with USA customer service. A real PITA, but I'm happy with the Moto X nonetheless.
