Re: Moto x+1...

The SoC is not only about more processing power, but more importantly IMO, power efficiency. Successive generations tend to more with less. So while the user experience may fly just fine with a SD800, battery life and performance would be improved with a SD805.

I was just saying that the Moto X shows everyone that you don't need super powers where user experience the x8computing chip does a great job

Re: Moto x+1...

I really hope it doesnt have 5.2" screen since that takes into phablet territory

Re: Moto x+1...

I can't believe just 18 months ago, 4" was the sweet spot... The only way this progressed is the continued reduction in bezel.

I agree.

I previously used a DROID Maxx and loved the size. That was a 5" screen with capacitive buttons. An X+1 with a 5.2" screen shouldn't be too big, especially if Motorola continues with onscreen buttons.

We already know what 5.2" with thin bezels is like by looking at the LG G2.

I've played around with a G2 and it feels significantly larger than the Moto X. The chances of me getting a 5.2" Moto X+1 is slim.

Yeah true. It isn't but I am a die hard Motorola fan but that LG g3 is looking pretty nice. It will be either or for me.

There is a good reason why the G3 will need 3gb of ram and Moto X2 won't. It'll become apparent when you use LG interface.

Re: Moto x+1...

I will not get the X+1 if has a large screen. I want a smartphone to use with one hand. That phablet stuff won't cut it for me.

You're going to be running out of choices. Even if you wanted to jump ship for Apple looks like the iPhone 6 will be nearly as large as the GS5.

I hope they keep nearly the same physical size on the X+1, but would be ok if the screen is larger.

For new phones yes. I can still use my Razr M just fine. Or I can go to BlackBerry with the Q10 or whatever the next keyboard phone they put out. I am not using a phablet.

I'll worry about that when something concrete has been announced.

I doubt the X+1 will be near the same physical size as the X.

Re: Moto x+1...

Hopefully they take the time to make the +1 as ergonomic as the x.
