Moto X+1

I'm going to need to see the new droid line and nexus x/6 (though if it is 6" its out), as well as the camera on all of them before I consider the X+1

One of the best features of the Droid Maxx is the Qi Wireless charging. I sure hope the new phone has it. I am going to be hard pressed to buy a new Moto if there is no Qi charging.

Multiple sources are saying no wireless charging due to the different backs.

So if the FCC filing is the Moto X+1 I did my best to match up the sizes of these 3 phones based on their mm dimensions. Not perfect but it should match within a few pixels. photoshop is not my full time job lol

The S4 is about 1mm shorter than the nexus 5 and .7mm wider. So its almost a match to the Nexus 5 size. The moto phone in the FCC filing is taller and wider than the S4.

One final thing on the size - the phone that went through the FCC (maybe the X+1) is 2mm shorter than the Galaxy S5, but only 0.1mm wider. So essentially it has an identical footprint to the Galaxy S5.

This is disappointing news, as I purposely haven't upgraded to the S5 due its big size. This whole "bigger is better" concept is driving me nuts. I've been holding out hope that the X+1 would meet my needs.

I'll wait to see it and hold one before passing judgment. If its 5.2 and just about the size of the s5 or a couple mm's smaller, it may look attractive. All else fails, I'll keep my X or look at iphone... Yeah well whatever..

That would be unfortunate as it would imply a $649 or more off contract price. However if they have a better camera, good specs, near stock, and the super fast updates then they can justify the price. The moto x fire sales have probably primed people to think we'll see a $299 off contract x+1 which will lead to disappointment.

Well, with the rumors of so many different Moto phones coming out, I won't jump on the X+1 until I see what is coming.

The Moto X Play seems like the best option if its real. At 5.2", with a SD805 its a step up from the X+1, and more reasonable in size then the Nexus X with the same specs.

Hopefully Moto isn't stupid enough to repeat the Moto Maker exclusive period.

They really need to launch at $399-499 for the base model, off contract.

Man, that stinks.
Considering I bought the X because it was a hair smaller than the Nexus 5....
If correct, don't know if I could tolerate it.
