If only buying a higher GB version was that simple. I'm hoping to find out it's Australian release date and what sizes we can buy. 16GB and no SD card is way to small for a multimedia device. Music, photos and videos, it all adds up.

Got this from Motorola's twitter '@ 1AM CT (Sep 5) we start unveiling the new portfolio of Moto products. Then join us at 1:30 PM CT for our Hangout.'

So we have about 5 hours left

Wow, if those German specs are correct, it's basically an ever so slightly larger LG G2 with a smaller battery?
Not what I was hoping for.

Hopefully the Droid Turbo fits the bill.

There doesn't seem to be any mention of an X8 chipset in this "New" Moto X, according to that German site. So are we to still assume that the new Moto X will have all of the features that we like about the original? Are they able to duplicate Touchless Control with the Snapdragon 801? And if so, why has no other company attempted it with their own phones?

I'm hoping that somewhere in Moto's announcements that they mention plans for a smaller form-factor phone with mostly the same features. 5.2" screen is bigger than I really wanted to go for a smartphone. I was very happy with 4.7" being my limit. The iPhone 5s' 4" screen was good as well.

I'm pretty sure that HTC and LG are using those cores for features like HTC's swipes while the screen is off and LG's Knock Code.

I really like the sound of this device, especially having a leather back. But no wireless charging (probably because of the back panels) and I am just not sure. I know it sounds like a small thing, but when you have charge pads everywhere and have been using them for almost 2 years, I just don't know how I would feel about going back and plugging my phone in again.

First world problems I know.

16GB standard, 32 with Moto maker, which I won't get, very lame, I'll wait for the new Nexus, at least I'll be able to order it right away with maximum GB. And get wireless charging.

I do know a phone with 16GB and no SD is totally of the cards. I've had 64GB for almost three years, 16 is way too small.

I store a lot of music on my phone and take videos as needed. When I do a clean up I usually have 14 or so GB free which can come in handy. Last year I forgot to pack my camcorder and ended up filming for over an hour on my phone, it worked out great.

I understand your thinking but how is it not good to have space available to film something at the spur of the moment.

The big issue is companies that don't release all the versions of their phones to all country's they sell it in. All we have here from Samsung is 16GB S5's, another fail.

LG did a pretty good job with the G3, quickly available and we can get the 32GB version and even a deal for the phone and watch. I like it save their overlay and the laggy UI. Late updates are no good either.

The cloud is not an option yet, I'll use Play Music and locally download a lot of them.

I do think they are out of touch as people would buy phones with more storage.

Apple gave us 64GB in 2011, with a 16GB option and 32 too. Options are nice.

I have a 64GB iPad 4 as that was the biggest on launch and a 128GB iPad Air. Space is something you can't get more of once you've bought without an SD card.

I know Android has moved away from apps on the card but for the big multimedia it would be great.
