Moto X (1st gen) with Motorola Keylink (Trusted Bluetooth)

I got my a Keylink for my brother, who uses it with a Verizon Developer Edition Moto X. Not even a month in, he got an alert that said that the Keylink's battery is low. :/

These things were supposed to last a year, not 3 weeks.

Oh and even though it's advertised to only work as a trusted bluetooth device with the "Nexus 6, Moto X (2nd Gen.), Droid Turbo, and smartphones with Android™ 5.0, Lollipop or later", it works fine with the first generation Moto X.

Good to know it works with OG Moto X. Got one for my son; who always loses his key's.
I hope it was just a old battery.....we shall see.
