from pelebkf over at XDA: "Edit the main APN "T-Mobile US LTE" and add ",dun" to the end of the "APN type" (so the it should say "default,mms,supl,hipri,fota,dun") then save it."
Just tried this on my stock, unrooted, XT1053, and it worked like a charm.

Has anybody who has upgraded to lollipop tested if this unrestricted tether on 5.1 works for T-Mobile or MetroPCS.

I have the XT1053 - unlocked version, and I use it on AT&T. It is 10.10 pm EST.

I just read the news that 5.1 is being rolled out. I switched on wifi, went into System Updates and a few seconds later saw this message!



The message says 200-400 MB of free space. That's not true. I had 750 MB free and it wanted me to free up some more. I deleted a few photos and videos, to take it up to 850 MB free, went into System Updates again, click "yes, I'm in" again and the download started.

The update is 694.6 MB in size.

Yes. After installing the update, go to the Play store and update Moto Voice. You can then customize your launch phrase

Received 5.1 update on an unlocked 2013 Moto X (AT&T service).
Anyone get Motorola Skip to work? I have the app installed but don't see it in the security settings or anywhere else.

Up and running as of noon today (EDT). Had to reboot a few times to get everything to settle in properly, but no problems. All MotoX special features seem to work fine, at least those that I use (I don't use Skip). Finally! Worth the wait I think.

I'm running it on my spare Moto X now. My only complaint so far is that I am seeing a lock screen Moto notification that won't go away when I am home.

I got the update yesterday and it downloaded without my prompting it (argh!), but I'm hesitant about actually installing it even though it keeps bugging me to do so. I've been very happy with the performance of this phone on Kit Kat and I'm not wild about some of the interface changes and the aesthetics of the material design. I don't care for the geometric capacitive home/back/multitask buttons (silly, I know). I would love to see someone's home screen after the updates to see how it all looks on Moto X '13.

Hi guys, I'v just joined in. I'v been waiting so long but yesterday I receive my lollipop update. My phone is XT1053 dev.edt. I bought it on amazon.com, but I'm using phone in Poland, Orange is my carrier.

Everything works perfectly smooth but material design is... "uncomplete". I mean app drawer looks like in kitkat. Its just black, nothing changed here. I noticed that there is also no "control center" widget.

Sorry, I use the Google Now launcher and it doesn't seem to have changed with Lollipop.
