Thanks for posting! When motomaker for this model first came online, I preferred the silver trim of the white front with the bamboo and other backs that I preferred. But I really like the dark gray trim in person (seen in-store) and I think it looks great with the bamboo!

If I do go with bamboo, I'll definitely combine it with the black & Dark Gray. Besides looking good, it looks more customized vs. the standard white/bamboo model available in-store.

I actually prefer the look of the white with the sensors noticeable. I thought the 2013 white front was hideous, because it was just too much white with face and trim and nothing breaking it up besides the earpiece and camera at the top.

That's actually why I prefer the black front. I like the look of a plain black slab of glass for the front. It'd be cool if the white front was nothing but pure white glass when the screen was off.

You're quite welcome. And I thought the same thing about the colors. The silver looked awesome and I was afraid the dark gray would translate as black and sort of disappear. But the dark gray really does have a classy and solid look to it. I'm very glad I stuck with my preference of a black front.

I wanted a black front, but the site says that it is not available for 32 GB on T-Mobile.

Wow - goldenstate, have you gotten yours yet? You're the only person I've seen with a white front / dark gray metallic trim! I've been scouring google images / instagram / reddit for days and couldn't find a real world example.

I ordered a similar setup - a 32gb pure edition with white front, black leather back, and dark gray metallic trim. My first moto X had a woven white back, white front, and black trim/buttons, and I loved the black&white "stormtrooper" look it had - hoping the 2014 moto X will be similar, but from what I've seen, the dark gray metallic isn't quite black. Was second guessing myself and wondering if I should switch it to silver while I still can (ordered 10/3, promised 10/24 ).

Yup....I ordered a black front/chalk back/orange trim on 9/30 with a delivery date of 10/23. Hope to see it sooner but I'm reading there is a shortage of 32 gig memory.

I went with the iLLumiShield this time around. You can get it on Amazon. I'm very happy with it.

No but even with shipping, it was very affordable. And mine arrived in 3 days, so that wasn't bad at all.

For what it's worth, I ordered mine on 10/3 and the delivery date is 10/24. I've seen various white 32gb orders anywhere from 9/26-10/3 being promised anywhere from 10/22-10/24, so it seems that the october 22-24th range is kind of a deadline? Hoping we'll get ours sooner and that 10/22-10/24 is a 'worst case scenario' date.

You got it! Its the Ebony back, white front and dark gray trim! (Pure 32gig model) I love it as well. Having issues getting screen protectors and what not. Hope to find one soon.

Mine just came in today. Ordered on 9/27 with an expected delivery of 10/22. I didn't receive any notification of its shipping.

You can't tell from the pics, but I did a once over on the corners to check to make sure they weren't peeling and the bottom left corner is. It's not noticeable right now but I did see that there was less frame showing in that corner and when I pressed down in the area it made a popping sound like the adhesive isn't sticking. And there are a couple blemishes in the wood in the top right corner which you can see in the pics.
