I ordered my Moto X through Moto Maker on the 20th. I received an email on the 22nd saying it was being built. Today on a whim, I called the 800 customer service phone number in the "It's Being Built" email and Motorola told me there is a shortage a parts and the estimated ship date is October 10th. They also told me it could ship sooner depends on the backordered parts.
Hurry up and wait.
I also told them that my order confirmation doesn't state what I ordered. It's only a price. They said they would look into it and it's a known software glitch:'(.
