Moto X 2014 Post your end of day battery screen shots

Re: Post your end of day battery screen shots

I find battery complaints to be way overblown. My battery keeps getting better. 4-5 hours of screen on time seems to be the norm. That is plenty.

Here is what I got out of it today.

Re: Post your end of day battery screen shots

Light use day for me.. just a lot of texting and a few phone calls.

Re: Post your end of day battery screen shots

I'm pleasantly surprised by what I'm seeing in this thread. These screenshots show better battery life than what I'm currently seeing with my 2013 X. I hope this translates to my yet-to-be delivered 2014 X.

Expectations are exceeded.

Re: Post your end of day battery screen shots

This was more like a normal day for me. Football Sunday is all about arguing about and looking up stats, Facebook snark, and posting pics of dumb stuff. Not playing with the phone for no reason like the last few days. I'm completely satisfied with the battery. YMMV

Re: Post your end of day battery screen shots

I feel like a lot of these battery results are strictly on WiFi.

If its on WiFi what's your problem? That's how most of the people use it..also

Re: Post your end of day battery screen shots

As soon as I get somewhere for games I ask if there's wifi. So this is normal use for me. Like I said YMMV.

This was actually for sure mentioned, I think in AnandTech review.

Patiently waiting on mine to arrive :-)

End of another day. Used Google Maps navigation for 30 minutes in the car along with playing with Moto Voice.uploadfromtaptalk1411972946302.jpguploadfromtaptalk1411972954767.jpg

Like others have stated, AnandTech, which if I'm not mistaken you said you like their review (could be wrong though), that battery life on LTE for the X was better than on WiFi. So if this battery life is good on WiFi, based on what AnandTech says, LTE should be better. But based on your comments, I don't think you'll ever be happy with the X battery life. Not trying to be disrespectful, it's just what I've been noticing based on your comments.

I'm curious about battery life on cellular data. Didn't realize I was having a problem.

Just like I don't want to base the battery life on WiFi off only tech publication reviews, I would love to hear "real world" cellular data usage, too.

Understand completely. I'm anxious to see some more shots too. So far, I've been happy with them.

Re: Post your end of day battery screen shots

This phone has the ability to show percentages of battery life also? I missed that feature when getting rid of my GS3. It's not something anyone else probably cares about but I really did like it. I just saw someone's screenshot had it in there. Would be nice to have back.

Re: Post your end of day battery screen shots

So far this looks promising but I also want to see what daily use is like during the week when most people are relying on LTE.

I am still on an unlimited plan and hardly ever use wifi, even at home.

Mine comes tomorrow. Been using the GS5 for a while now and I'm a little nervous taking a 500 mAh battery size hit, but I loved the time I spend back when I had the original X so it's worth a shot. Plus on our corporate account I can get it for $60 with a $100 credit so Verizon is technically paying me to get one. :)

I'll leave my wifi off for the whole day. Let's see what we get tonight. :)
