Moto X 2014 Post your end of day battery screen shots

Strictly LTE.
Screen brightness on auto.
Pretty decent battery life for LTE can't complain!

Hey are you finding your battery lasts longer on strictly LTE? I noticed my battery went a full two days that way, whereas with half wifi I'm having to charge it about a half day sooner, and my wifi signal is strong. I've got no problem with a day and a half with my normal use, but I certainly didn't notice that trend with the 2013 X.

I believe the guy from the anandtech review mentioned noticing the same phenomena.

i think so for the for me LTE and Wifi are about the same. that last battery stat i had was auto brightness which i think definitely plays a big role in battery life. if you spend all day in a dark environment your screen is going to stay dimmer, which was the case that day. dim screen=good battery life.

Question, when i unplug my phone in the morning, I spend about 20 minutes, half an hour surfing the web, Facebook, clash of clans, Bible, etc. My phone (which is a horrible, aging galaxy s3) drops like 15%. Or more.

If you were to do that on your new X, what would it drop to?

That question just simply can not be answered, I am sure you will get better battery life than the s3. Plus I hate answering a question where it all depends on your usage habits.

I've noticed that this screen is way too bright in dark rooms. I downloaded an app called night mode, this might help battery life at night for some. It brings the brightness down lower than stock settings.

Not sure it would make any difference in battery life. Most of these apps just block the light from coming through, not actually dimming the backlight.

True, true, if you're playing a graphic heavy game vs just doing Facebook, etc. Just a clue would be great, like 5-7%, 10-12%, etc. If you want.

I'm still debating on getting a 2014 X. Can anyone compare the battery life to the HTC one M8?

I had the m8 and by what I'm reading here the m8 had almost double the screen time as the Moro x. Sooooo disappointed. I'm waiting on the turbo. I just can't get a phone that needs to be plugged in during the day.

Days 2 and 3. Both light days.

While I have not yet had a heavy day, I am impressed with the life. This is a phone that will get most people through average days no problem. Now if you are a heavily user or need it to last through days of travel or something, you are going to need to pack a battery pack. It will get you through most of it, but will probably die before the finish line.

Honestly I am content with the life of this phone. The only thing that really worries me is what the life will be like in a year. It is doing great now, but batteries degrade. There is no option to replace this one with a new battery. My wife's 2013 X is already starting to show loss in life and it is only a year old. I am worried that this X will fair no better.

Re: Post your end of day battery screen shots

I tried to hit the battery hard today while at work and this is heavy usage for me. After 14 hour day it was still doing fine. The battery is not an issue for me on the 2014 Moto X for my usage patterns. I keep my screen on about 40 to 45%.

As a traveler, I have an external battery pack if needed and carry a car charger as well if I am in a car or plane and need a top off.

No load of crap. Auto brightness on Android is perfect versus auto on iPhone. That is a fact. Plus your OS is an app launcher. Get real.

Hold your down your power (sleep/wake) button and volume down simultaneously to take a screenshot. Also, I'm not sure the Android Central app allows adding pictures to posts, you may need to switch to the Android Central Forums app for that functionality.

Not crazy but made it through the first day fairly easy.
