Moto X (2014) Pre-Order

Do you need to have a .edu email address to place an order or is it just for getting the discount code?

Re: Pre-orders will start on Tuesday. Who's ordering

I plan on getting the Moto X and the Nexus. Then I may sell my G3. I still miss my N5 like a ghost limb.

Miss my Nexus 5 like crazy too! Can't wait for the 6/x :)

Does anyone know what the stock configurations are gonna be? Meaning materials.

Black resin black bamboo and black leather for at. All 16gb models only. Full price is $526.99 for those three models.

Live for me. The $50 .edu credit doesn't work for the 32GB model on MotoMaker.

Well now the site is down for me. I was playing around with the motomaker and motorola.com crashed when I tried to move forward. Seems that the server is overwhelmed.

Order placed. 32GB black with bamboo back. Estimated delivery on Sep 26th

$50 .edu credit didn't work and the 16GB is not available for 22 days, so went with the 32 instead.

CORRECTED - The edu discount credit does appear to work on the 32GB since it accepted it the 2nd time. I'll have to try contact support to have them adjust my existing order.

It crashed a couple of times for me too - once when inputting my shipping address and again when inputting billing address. Just refresh and it will come back.

Well since I'm on Verizon, I'm just playing around with Motomaker. If its that much traffic, I'll just wait so I'm not screwing over an AT&T or TMobile person.

Also, in the order summary it says "Moto X - Pure Edition with T-Mobile SIM" AT&T and Verizon on-contract options were included in the MotoMaker site, but listed as coming soon for VZ.

It's live. Anyone pre-ordering? I'm holding back. I don't feel comfortable dropping money on a device I'm not going to be fully satisfied with (mixed camera reviews, and poor battery results).

Also, after playing with Moto Maker, I actually don't find any color-configuration that pleasing. In fact, after playing with it, the Moto X is sort of ugly... :T

Just my opinion.
