Moto X 2014 T-Mobile Sim included with pure edition?

So, i saw an unboxing video and it mentioned there is a T-mobile sim in it already. I'm currently on my nexus 4 with a micro sim, can I swap over and use the new one they provided? Do I just call t-mobile to have them activate it and will I still have the same phone number? Or should I just cut my micro sim card to nano, and not worry about porting.

You aren't really porting your number if you are just transferring your T-mobile number to another T-mobile sim. I would just use the new one that comes with the phone. Call T-mobile and they will activate the nano sim.

So, when i call them to activate the nano, it'll automatically be my original tmobile number? mmmm thats much easier.

You are just switching your account to a new SIM. Easy as pie.

not sure how tmobile does their plans but are you on an LTE plan with TMO? I would just activate the new one since the nexus 4 was not LTE. I also ordered that device and will just pop my ATT nano SIM in and be off to the races if I ever receive it. Got a message earlier this week that they are assembling it. Was originally scheduled for 10/13. Come on Moto...

You can change Sims online without calling them if you have a post paid account. I have done it a couple of times. Follow these steps below.
