Moto X 2014 .Update all apps?

I just got a Moto X and I'm getting really annoyed with updating apps. I have it set up to download updates automatically, but that only seems to update a few apps. I'm not 100% sure this is what's happening, but it seems like auto updates are happening for apps that I downloaded, but not for things that came on the phone (ie, moto and google apps).

I can't for the life of me find an "update all" button or anything like that or even a way to just list out the apps that need updating.

I'm new to Android, so I figure I'm probably just being ignorant and don't know what I'm doing. A little help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Update all apps?

Google Play Store -> swipe screen from left edge to the right -> select My Apps -> Update All if there are any updates to download and install.

Having said that I like to read about what's new with Apps I use a lot so I don't miss out on an enhancement or feature. If you set every app to update automatically you may miss something fun or important. Instead I do manual updates on Apps I'm interested in reading about and do those manually and then for the rest I can go back and Update All.

Re: Update all apps?

+1 for manual updates.

I think that the apps won't be automatically updated when they come with a new permission. You have to agree manually with that. Maybe that's your problem.

Re: Update all apps?

Also: for some reason, the Moto apps don't always show as having an update available when they do. I assume this is a bug that will be fixed, but in the meantime you can do a search for "Moto" and find any that have an available update. Might want to hold off on the Moto Voice update for the moment, as it seems to have a few bugs.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't have the update all option:

Even though I clearly have apps that need updating:

Re: Update all apps?

Maybe in the Play Store settings it needs to be set to do not auto update?
