Moto X (2014) vs Z3 Compact

I too, have a 2014 moto X (32gb pure, leather back), and a z3c. The Z3C remains my favorite/go-to phone today.

There are a lot of things I like about the moto X - but the lack of an SD card just kills it for me. And my Z3C battery life is pretty good, 6+ hours of SOT consistently, while the moto X would get 4-4.5 at most.

If the moto X had an sd card, and batt life like my z3c, I'd gladly switch back... but for now, the Z3C is the winner!

Go use any other current flagship then come back to the Z3c. You'll be happy as a lark

I ended up sticking with the Moto X (2013) as my regular phone. It's just so much more comfortable to hold and use. And the screen is easy to read from any angle, which isn't true of the Sony. The battery sucks, though. I really wish I could love the Sony, but I don't. Maybe I'll see if I can replace the Moto's battery.
