Moto X (2nd Gen) Pure Edition XT1095: 5.0 Lollipop Update (22.21.11)

Why is that? I didn't root, I basically copied a zip and "installed update from sd card" using recovery tools already installed on the phone. Didn't use ADB or anything like that, just what was already on the bone stock phone. Are you saying now I will never get another OTA notification in the future? This is my first real Android phone so I'm new to this process.

I'm not sure Hawonjung's statement is totally accurate, but I can see no one really likes my answer either: Motorola still has not officially release this OTA. This just might be the main reason you did not get the first release, nor the second release... again, because it's not been officially released.

After joining the soak test on Monday night I FINALLY got 5.0 to pop for me! Thus far its been good. Only had it for about 24 hours though so far.

There is official 4.4.4 versions available for you to sideload back onto your device in worst cases... then you should be able to download any official OTA's... I'd look on XDA.

I used to have an original moto x. I had to do an insurance claim due to hard impact. Set up 2nd gen Moto x in evening. Next morning took lollipop update. I use my phone all day as a telecom tech. Overall , even with lollipop... Better battery life all round but, am not liking the SonyPS style buttons at all. And HATE not having WPS button in WiFi page.

No. Got it through the update sys link in the settings menu not OTA. Working great, improved battery.

Just recieved my Moto X today and was able to update to 5.0 right away. So far, I am really liking this phone and 5.0. Couple of apps that are not working with Lollipop Dish anywhere keeps crashing. Some of my mp3 has this cracking sound when using PlayerPro (music app) when connect to bluetooth device. Try the same mp3 with the default player and no issue.

Yes. I just got it this evening. Received notification that it was available - I didn't have to check for update.

Did you all have the previous lollipop version (22.11.6) prior to getting 22.11.11, or did you come from KitKat?

Remember, we may not ever get 5.0.1. It depends on what it fixed.
