Moto X Bluetooth Connectivity

Not using Gas Buddy, but having Bluetooth connectivity issues with Moto 360 and everything else except my Fire. Started yesterday - nothing else going on....suddenly got warnings from Wear Aware that my phone was out of range when it was about 10 feet away....happened twice and re-connected and then that was it for Bluetooth...

Granted my use of Bluetooth is my car and my Fitbit, but neither has ever caused me any major issues.

In the case if my car a software update to the car fixed the Bluetooth issues there (which was basically blips and bleeps during Bluetooth streaming) and my Fitbit never had any issues ever.

Same issue except it's not Google wear or fitbit, I have the jawbone up2. I think I has something to do with the fitness tracker apps. I'm tempted to nuke it but based on the comments to this thread, that doesn't fix it.

Update: I removed GB and today things are working...we shall see...

I will say uninstalling Gas Buddy fixed my bluetooth issues on my phone although mine wasn't Android Wear related.

I would highly recommend that anyone having bluetooth problems install an app that examines permissions and remove/disable any non-essential apps that have bluetooth related permissions. Maybe this will help you isolate an issue with one of them. Gas Buddy was causing my issues.

Stupid god damn bluetooth stalking gas buddy. I haven;t been able to keep my watch connected for more than 30 minutes in weeks. Removed gas buddy yesterday and it has been flawless since. THANKS!

I may have figured out my issue. I narrowed it down to at work. I have a headset at work that supports my phone, Bluetooth, and pc. Strangely enough I tried pairing it with my phone and it didn't stop things. I completely turned off Bluetooth on the headset yesterday and no issues the rest of the day or today.

The problem came back and I have no idea why. It stuck for about a week.

I'm having the exact same problem. Factory reseting (deleting cache and data) the phone only helps for a few days.

I'm coming across this thread after the fact for me, but wanted to chime in. The head unit in my car would routinely fail to connect to my phone, after either connecting to another head unit or going a few hours without the phone being connected to any Bluetooth device. I sent a debug log to Motorola and their engineers immediately identified Gas Buddy as the problem. Since uninstalling Gas Buddy I've had absolutely no connectivity issues.

According to the change log, Gas Buddy can offer "deals" while filling up if we turn on Bluetooth, starting with version 4.6.6 of t the app. I have yet to see one of these deals.

I contacted Gas Buddy support yesterday, but have yet to get anything other than an automated response. In the meantime, I changed my Gas Buddy review to 1 star, and made it clear that it's causing Bluetooth issues. I have no problem bad mouthing Gas Buddy for this useless "feature" that causes issues outside of the app.

So frustrated by this issue, I'm selling my Moto 360 and likely buying a Gear S2. Which sucks, because I love the look of my 360 watch with my custom watch band. But obviously it's now useless, not connecting to my S6 Edge+ any longer :(

Just bought a new Huawei watch and holy ****, it's 10x better than the 360 ever was. So happy now.

I had the issue of needing to restart Bluetooth to get my Moto X (2014) to connect to my car. Inspired by the GasBuddy problem, I looked at other apps that were active and had Bluetooth access.

I uninstalled the Dunkin Donuts app and now my car connects with my phone! I even reinstalled the app and it still works.

I think the problem was that I just bought the phone. I had installed my old apps, then did two Android upgrades. I think the upgrades messed with the Bluetooth code in the DD app in a way that doesn't happen if you install the app fresh.

I recommend that people having this problem find all the active apps that have Bluetooth access and reinstall them.

I was having the same issues with Blutooth not staying paired and deleted the last 2 apps I installed that had Bluetooth access. Problem solved!

Update: After trying several time I removed my phone from the car and was able to get them to talk again.

My Moto X suddenly will not connect with my car. My car doesn't see my phone and my phone doesn't see my car. It was working great for about 3 months and now it will not connect. My car does recognize my son's iPhone so I'm guessing it is my phone and not the car. This is driving me crazy as I miss my Smart AudioBook Player for my daily drive.
Does anyone have any advice?
