Moto X - Change the camera resolution?

I have searched all over. Is there a way to lower the resolution of the pictures taken by the default camera app? I would rather 4:3, and I don't need 10mp. I would prefer about 5mp. I cannot find any way to do this. Is there one? Or do I have to use a different camera app?

I would have to go with using a different app.
