Moto X Costs $221 To Build

I always thought that it was ALOT cheaper to build devices due to mass manufacture, bulk bought parts and etc. The profit margin is extremely low for manufacturers. Does anyone know what the carriers pay per device?

On top of the subsidized price that we pay, Android typically costs the carrier $200-300 more, iPhone $400 more.

That explains all the fees the carriers charge to the consumer.

There were also 720p slcd

But there were more issues getting good Amoled displays, and the point of the amoled display is to allow the rich notification options.

The screen technology is not 2011 because there were no RGB amoled displays with over 300 ppi at the time commercially viable.

That's true. Although, I think both slcd and rgb Amoled are excellent, compared to pentile.
