Moto X: Evernote downloaded but not apparent

two reasons I switched to a smart phone from my old flip phone 1) to have evernote on my PC and smart phone to keep track of my business. So I tried downloading it and see that it is supposed to be installed but the app does not appear anywhere on the phone. 2) to get web based mail from my outlook.com account, not gmail. I guess I'm not understanding how to get Evernote onto the Moto X, nor how to get a widget or app to appear on the home screen for outlook.com

Stupid question, but let's start with the basics: Have you checked the app drawer for the Evernote app?

Hi Doc... I finally researched enough to figure out what was happening: When I first go the phone the other day for some odd reason I thought I should deactivate the Google Play app not realizing I needed it. So once I found that out I re enabled it the apps like Evernote just appeared.
