Moto X: Love 4.4.2

Is there any risk in switching between the two? Do you lose any of your data/installs, etc.? Other than maybe better battery life is there any noticeable difference?
No risk as you can always change back. You don't lose anything except time as at takes awhile for ART (stands for Android Run Time) to pre-compile all of your apps. In my experience apps seem to open a little faster. To find out more Google "dalvik vs ART".

OBTW- When I switched over a couple of months ago I had two apps that didn't work under ART so I switched back. When I tried it again last week they both worked.

I switched to ART. Nothing really changed. Switched back and still getting great battery life.

okay switch to art today battery already at 34 percent much worse than dalvik.Typically at this time I'm at just about 50-60%....

I will be switching back tonight

Recompiling all of your apps eats a bunch of power. Recharge it and report back after 24 hours.

Are these on att or verizon? What's the longest battery time with what screen time? Thinking of switching from the maxx on verizon to x on at. Love the maxx and battery life.

I just did this two months ago. You will absolutely miss the battery on the droid maxx. I like the smaller phone size but I would buy a maxx on at&t in a minute if it were available.

True on the apps, forgot about that. I will see what happens tomorrow as I wake every morning with a full charge....

You know what's funny, I'm on art right now and when I'm at work in training, this is what I was saying that observed him before. When I'm done with training at 3 p.m. If there are a lot of apps / have a lot of notifications on my active notification screen on my phone my battery will of Gone from 100 percent battery at 8 o'clock in the morning to 30 percent battery by 2:50 p.m.. I wonder if switching back to dalvic on my phone would make a difference at all... Although I do love the speed at which apps move and transition.
