Moto X or iPhone 6?

Behind in which way though? The iPhone runs just as well, if not better than the GS5. Specs aren't the only thing that determine performance (and even the A8 is still a beast of an SoC). It has great battery life, a great screen, and a great camera. Not a huge fan of the software, but that is subjective.
Great battery life is a stretch.

Ymmv, obviously. But it was in the top 5 in anantdtech's tests ;)
AnandTech | The iPhone 6 Review
I really don't trust those tests and Anandtech reviews aren't very useful for me, they might be good for specs stuff, but not real world use. I prefer real experience from people who actually use the phone daily. I'm sure the iPhone have decent battery life, but there are many Android devices, some have bad battery, some are good.

Re: Moto X or IPhone 6?

Have been with Android for a few years, I'd like to take an iPhone this time. However, i will wait sometime when the iPhone 6 price drops

Re: Moto X or IPhone 6?

Honestly I haven't heard a lot of good things about the New Moto X and I'm usually fond of Motorola (Current device is last years Moto X). They made a lot of mistakes with it, between the camera and battery life and I'm very disappointed they omitted Micro-SD support for whatever reason.

Thanks for pointing out the headphone issue. I thought something was wrong with my Bose QC's. The right side was not working. Also, have the Moto X and my kids have the iPhone 6. I had the 6+ and returned it because I couldn't deal with the size, but loved everything else. Here are my issues with the X so far:
1) Wood peeling off from lower right hand corner
2) Battery is bad, it's 2:55PM (on for 8h 28m 28s) and I'm down to 30%.
3) Low light pictures are awful. Took some shots of my friend's baby last night at a birthday party and I ended up deleting them all.
4) Only hearing out of one side of my headphones.

I think the above mentioned reasons kill it for me. Was having fun too with my Moto 360.

Since you trust experience over systemic testing, then here is mine

What's the point of that screen shot? There is no screen on time and that usage includes whenever the phone wakes up.

I have had plenty of times when my 2013 moto x has lasted a day and a half when I've forgotten to plug it in at night.

Gotta love when people dig up old threads

The usage does include background usage, yes. But looking at what's been using the battery, most of the usage time would have been in the foreground. I do wish that Apple included the screen time in the battery stats, but usage gives you a pretty close result in most circumstances. In any case, this is impressive battery life.

Yeah there is this thing called google that searches forums regardless of how old their threads are.

I replied because your post doesnt contribute anything without sot. Anyone can keep their device awake with very little usage.

And there's a little bit of text when you open that thread that tells you when the last post was posted ;)

Yes, that's true. But couldn't I keep my screen on a blank screen for many hours and get a huge screen on time? It works both ways...does this mean that I should distrust all claims of usage time made by anyone?! Do you go around telling all of the people with android battery screenshots that their data means nothing?

Unfortunately for you, it looks like you'll just have to trust us in that we can get quite good screen on time with our iPhones.
