Moto X Pure Edition: Screen flickering when changing brightness?

I've had the Moto X PE for a day, and I've noticed the screen flickers when it changes brightness, even on the blank screen when it shows notifications. Is this normal?

I have definite banding and flickering with my unit. Also gets warm and stutters while browsing on Chrome. No twitching tho. Get a replacement.

No, mine is more of a light flickering of the backlight when I have adaptive brightness turned on. It doesn't seem smooth like other devices
