I ordered on Friday morning. No email updates until Monday morning that it was being assembled. Later that night I get a shipped email. It's out for delivery today.

By "we're assembling it" they must have meant they're about to go cut down the tree. It doesn't take more than 24 hours to put together a phone.

Same here. Ordered Sunday got the email it was being assembled yesterday. No shipping email yet

My first wood order on jan 27th, shipped 29th, received on 30th.
My second wood order on jan 31st, that was a friday, shipped feb 3rd on monday, received on 4th.

Couldn't be happier considering they had to assemble it.

I've been reading that people who ordered the dev edition will have to wait longer since it seems to be less of a priority.

According to the Motorola emails ordered mine on Feb 2, Assembled Feb 3, Shipped Feb 4. Motorola email says I should expect delivery on Feb 6 but the FedEx tracking site says estimated delivery today, Feb 5.

I have ordered 4 Moto X's for me and various family members. I was able to see the devices had shipped using Fed Ex Delivery Manager way before I received a shipment notice from Motorola. And for one of the devices, I never received a shipment notice at all but could see it shipped using Fed Ex Delivery Manager and so I knew to expect it.

So sign up for Fed Ex Delivery Manager!

Same here, the shipping email came about 5 hours after the phone was actually shipped out according to Fed Ex. I ordered mine on Sunday (2/2) with an estimated delivery of 2/8 but it's out for delivery at the moment.

Same here...just looked at FedEx and it now says my Moto X out for delivery as well.
