Moto X: Text Message?

So I've had the Moto X for about a week now and noticed the text messages list a date but not the time, didn't think I'd care but I do miss seeing what time the message came through.

Is there a way to add the time to text messages?

I'm AT&T using stock message app, thank you.

Hangouts shows the time for my text messages, I don't remember if the stock messaging app did for me or not.

The stock messaging app leaves a lot to be desired. Like Joe said, you could use Hangouts, or you could use one of the many excellent messaging apps in the Play Store. I use Textra and absolutely love it.

If you click on the text in the stock messenger it will show you the time.

Stock messaging app shows time if date is today. Clicking on a message will show more detailed information.

OK, another question. If someone sends me a picture message via text, how do I save it to my gallery?

You long press the picture and press save

Got it...see I was trying to do that but only after I had clicked on the picture to open it.
