Does the Moto X Pure edition (the one that can be purchased in the US) support AWS HSPA+ on T-mobile? Because right now it doesn't seem like it.
Apparently the Moto X Style and Pure have different radios according to Motorola.com
Moto X Pure:
Bands
GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
UMTS/HSPA+ (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz) <- 1700 MHz should be here for full T-mobile support right?
CDMA (800, 850, 1900 MHz)
4G LTE (B1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 25, 26, 38, 41)
Moto X Style:
Bands
UMTS GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
UMTS/HSPA+ (800, 850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 MHz)
4G LTE (B1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 17, 20, 25, 28, 40, 41)
These are copy and pasted directly from Motorola.com (the US site and then the International site respectively)
I kind of need a phone now and the Moto X Pure seems like a great choice but if it doesn't fully support T-mobile bands then I would probably just buy a Nexus 6 now rather than wait (I broke the screen on my Nexus 5 so I don't want to wait long). Service on T-mobile isn't the best even with a fully compatible phone so I don't want it to be any worse.
I searched the web high and low and except for one reddit post I haven't seen anyone make note of this. What do people think? Is this an issue for T-mobile users (since at least in some markets 1900mhz is being refarmed for HSPA+). I guess it could be a typo like the missing Verizon bands? If anyone working at AC sees this and could try to reach out to motorola for clarification that would be awesome.
