Moto X vs. LG G2

My brother is an official Android fan. That moto x is a great phone. Battery life is meh, build quality feels like I could throw it at the wall and it would be just fine. When I pick this phone up it just feels natural. Screen is vivid and bright. Colors don't seem washed out. Camera blows like it's the fifth and rents due four days ago. Phone is very "snappy" and responsive. HATE on screen buttons, personal preference.

Lg g2, battery life is redonculous, screen is bright, clear and vivid. Build quality feels sub par. Feels like I'm holding an iPhone first Gen. But it's light, maybe too light? Back buttons are no problem at all and actually feel very natural, even for a lefty. HATE on screen buttons, personal preference.

If I HAD to choose I would say moto x.

Only reason is the fact of how sturdy this phone feels. Camera problems are software related and don't know why they haven't been fixed through an update.

Would not voluntarily buy either phone due to on screen buttons being a deal breaker (unless I could somehow remove the buttons entirely, not just make invisible. Or if I could replace with gestures either by alternative launcher or by rooting).
Also, non removable battery would keep either of these phones from being my "daily driver".

You can use all in one gestures app to replace screen buttons with gestures. Works fine

I've had three Android devices with manufacturer/carrier bloat (Vizio VTAB, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, HTC Sensation 4G) and two without (the Tab reloaded with CyanogenMod and now a Moto G). I don't ever want to have to go back to a manufacturer-/carrier-polluted Android experience again, if I can avoid it.

Granted: Much of the difference in the phone was the new one being much newer, faster, etc. in all respects, but that certainly wasn't the case with the tablet.

So, for me, the product with the more "pure" Android experience is always going to win out.

For the Motorola vs. other phones there are also these reasons: Motorola has a reputation for solid hardware and exemplary radios. A terrific display & camera is nice, but if it can't talk to the rest of the world, well... Plus I use mine for navigation, so a good GPS is a big plus for me. The GPS' in my VTAB and Sensation were terrible. The Galaxy Tab's is quite good, the G's is nothing short of terrific.
