I've had the same issues on my moto g and its running kit kat 4.4.2. So hopefully when I get an update to 4.4.4 it'll be fixed.

Same issue here, stock android, Action launcher. I found that just restarting the phone works as well. Doesn't happen often, maybe once a month or so. I thought it may have had something to do with the 3rd party launcher, but i guess not. Weird bug.

This happened to me a lot. Everything stock, but I don't recall it happening since I got 4.4.4.

I think this is a KitKat thing not just Moto X. This happens on both my 2012 and 2013 Nexus 7s as well.

Absolutely, but I don't THINK it's just a kit Kat thing. My g3 is doing the exact same thing on verizon and I'm running lollipop 5.0.2. Any ideas?

I never had that issue with kit Kat on my old s4, so I thought it was just a lollipop thing, but I see now that people have been having this issue across the board. Any word from Google on this yet?
