Mine is running at 91 F

At this moment just straight using it for 20 minutes on chrome its at 96 F, not sure if this is normal or a defective unit

Mine always runs at 100* or so when browsing the web. I've seen it as high as 103* if there are a lot of photos on the page. Mine is caseless with just the style back on it. Figured it was normal, my MXPE gets way hotter doing the same things!

Hmm maybe i wont return mine im not sure, usong the camera for only 5 minutes while it was charging brought it from 91 to 104 quick. My battery life also hasnt been that great, max 5 hours sot with everything off and brightness low. My S7E would hit 9. And it ram cooler, a lot cooler

Might be an app going rogue in the background.

Not a rouge app i dont think as i only have spotify, ac, snapchat and instagram, and every other phone ive had used those apps too and i checked there stats and they all seemed fine

I don't know about your other use cases, but using the camera while turbo charging I would think would generate some heat pretty quickly.

It's not so much the apps themselves as how they are acting. If you're getting frequent wakelocks it will drain your battery and perhaps cause more heat.

If you would install a battery monitor app like GSAM, let it record some data, then post some screen shots, we might be able to help. It's always possible you just have a bum unit, but excess heat hasn't generally been a problem for many of us.

Mine can run pretty hot sometimes too if I don't use the style mod. It's thin and it's metal though, so I don't think much of it.

Hey guys. Sorry to ask this but how and where do I check my phone temp? What setting? Battery setting? I feel mine getting pretty hot at times but reading this thread would explain that. Any help is much appreciated

Never mind. Got it! Battery setting. I just picked mine up from non use for well over an hour and my battery was 91 and mod battery 77. I'm going to use it a bit and check again and report back.

The phone temp is found in the battery setting?
ETA - just added the CPU-Z app, shows battery at 91.4 F - now I know.

Have used CPU-Z on computers for quite a while, good program for me.

I never ended up using mine heavy as I started watching a movie. Currently after about 5 minutes of use and it being on charge for 10 minutes in my car, it's already at 99. I do have battery mod on too. Not sure if that's the major player on the high temp

Here's my battery stats after an hour of straight use. My battery temp went down I'm not anywhere near a tech know it all but one would think usage non stop would promote a spike in the heat of the battery? Or would it only rise had I been using it for an hour while it's charging? I may have it all wrong but should have my battery heat have risen from non stop and mostly watching amazon movie trailers so I was streaming the entire time. So if I'm not totally wrong, then why all of the not even close to consistent battery reports going on with this device ?1474189328544.jpg

Where are you seeing the battery temperature on those screens?

Yep! My bad guys. Ive lost my mind! Okay where do I locate the temp at. Wow I'm crazy. How I didn't think percentages is beyond me. I'm laughing at myself lol
