Moto Z Force SD card issues?

I'm creating this because I could not find any other thread on this topic. I have 128gb PNY, and 64gb Samsung SD cards. When I go to format them as internal I keep getting a JavaScript time out error. It seems like while formatting the card the software is getting stuck in a loop. I took the SD card to a Verizon store and tried it in another Moto Z Force and received the same error. Both cards work fine in my LG G5 and my Nvidia shield tablet. When I go to format them as portable it will work but the phone still has issues writing to them.

Maybe try reformatting them on a PC, then put them in and format them? May just be an issue with past formatting.

I wouldn't format them as internal even if you could. I did that when I first received my Z Force, but when it came time to add items, I kept receiving error messages that I was running out of space, despite having formatted my 128 GB SD card as internal, or adoptable. Once the actual internal drive was running low on space, the SD card wasn't being recognized as internal. So I did a factory reset and just formatted the SD card as portable and have had no issues since.

I tried the computer and it didn't work and I tried master resting it already. Bought a new sandisk card and it worked.
