Motorola Atrix connecting to Motorola Media Link

I just purchased a Motorola Atrix and I am having trouble getting the Media Link to "connect" to the device. Has anyone had this problem? Suggestions?????

Did you install the drivers when you plugged the phone in for the first time? Now that the software is installed, are you putting the phone in media sync mode?

I simply plug my phone in and then open media link on my macbook pro and it recognizes my phone right away...
