Motorola Bionic

I too would love to see that video the bionic looks great and I thought the atrix had ddr2 also or thats what they said in a video

I would love to see that video. Could you post it on You Tube so everyone could see it?

I just got the vid off of my friends iphone4. its not the best cuz well, we were at CES running around. you can read the text and watch quadrant and the score just fine. ill get it posted up later tonight and provide the link.

I have to edit my original post tho because i messed up and the score was actually 2284. Bone stock first run.

The phones were all without market, unactivated and no WiFi available, so i had to use my DroidX hotpsot to connect and find the quadrant APK online. Just got that all done before the Moto reps were getting a little pissed.

You may be right about the DDR2 in the Atrix. I just seem to remember seeing it has SDRAM somewhere. At this point I need that Tegra 2 in my brain to process all the info:)

I love my X and wouldn't trade it for anything. Dual core and 4G... sorry good ol X. But I'm on to the biggest and baddest available

I don't have an upgrade until September..... I guess I will be paying full retail for this phone.

Youre welcome... I want a bionic... i want it now...

It was very solid feeling. Quick to respond. screen looked almost as good as the iphone4, but still didnt match the same deep black level.

My droidX feels old after fondling the Bionic, Atrix, Thunderbolt and Revo.

C'mon Q2 2011!!!

Droid X, I wish I was so lucky. I'm still working with the original Droid.

I don't get it either. Verizon was the biggest pusher of Android till now and I always figured their relationship with Moto was the strongest. But it happened with the incredible missing features the Evo already had and it was still a top notch device when it released, so I am sure this device will still be among the best. They need to release final specs though because that was a big boo boo going from 1GB to 512MB and there are videos stating this thing has a Tegra 2 and videos stating it is a dual core TI processor.

I am most intrigued by the LG Optimus 2 and if it is coming to Verizon and if that bad boy has Gorilla Glass it may be time to give LG a go in the Android game. I am a big Moto supporter and am feeling a bit let down with the mixed up specs but will keep an eye on this one anyway as I am not due for an upgrade till july anyway.

I do not know if someone replied to this yet. But the only reason why the Atrix has 1Gig of Ram is because it docks to a Notebook and works as a PC. The phone alone will be 512MB just like the Bionic. It uses the other 512MB of Ram for the Notebook part the is always running in the background. This is why the Atrix has 1Gig of ram. Now the Bionic will have the Car Dock and HDMI Dock that the DX has...

But see being Dual Core should have more RAM. The Thunderbolt is NOT Dual Core but has 768MB of RAM.

I'm currently using a DX and love it. My upgrade is due in late August, but I may just wait until October or November and wait for the price of the Bionic to drop during the holiday season. I love my DX and for what I use it for I don't have an immediate need for a FFC, Dual-Core processor, or LTE speeds. I'm more concerned with the DX getting Gingerbread at the moment. This is definitely my phone of the future though.

Here's my question... Is that 512 DDR2 RAM mean that it is really 256 just sending 2 packets per cycle or will it be equal to 1024 RAM? Keeping in mind this is theoretical top speed, which would be faster, 512 DDR2 or 768 Flash RAM? Pardon the ignorance but I am really confused as to which phone deserves my upgrade.

It means 512 DDR2. That is it. Put that in your favorite encyclopedia, then digress. If you want that phone you upgrade with to have the best RAM. the bionic by all means trumps the 7** flash RAM the HTC has. If you want a hackable device, I would pass on the Bionic and get an HTC. Long gone are the days of having the best phone for longer than a few months anyway. Just get what makes you happy. The HTC HD is an EVO on serious steroids. We know how great the EVO continues to be! They will both be worthy successors IMO.

In other words 512MB DDR2 is better in a lot of ways. Similar to having your hard drives raided, you have half as much space but it processes TWICE as fast.
