Android Central Question
Until last week I had a Motorola G with Android 10 (for some reason it wouldn't update) but the camera setting had flash, auto flash and backlight torch. So you could illuminate the subject before taking a snap in a dark place.
I used this option frequently. For instance taking a photo of the meter display in a utility cupboard without a light. I need the torch to see what I'm focussing on before snapping the photo.
I now have a Motorola Edge with Android 12 and that option is missing. Instead I need to take a video with the torch on which uses up valuable storage space.
It also seems I can't take a photo grab within a video because when I click the screen the af lock setting appears.
Essentially I can't personalise the phone like Motorola claim I can.
Or can I? Are there more hidden settings?
Thanks.
