Motorola G 3 files lost

While transferring sdcard folder from internal memory to memory card, I merged files with the same name folder in the memory card. I lost the all my pictures after doing so. Even my whatsapp images from internal memory is lost! please help!
p.s. i tried recovery options but my phone doesnot support usb mass storage option.

Welcome to Android Central! Did you lose files on Internal Storage, the microSD, or both?

Did you use a Move or Copy command? In general, Copy is much safer, in case something goes wrong with the operation--that way, the original files are left intact. Move will delete the original files.
