Motorola headphones?

Don't work on my Samsung phone
Well some vids do .youtube does but others don't. Surely it's the same jack for all phone?

What exactly doesn't work? The microphone, or remote buttons? There can be subtle differences in the headphone jack configuration between phones, although I always thought it was mostly between iPhones and Android phones.
