Good evening everyone,

My mother in law is on my Verizon plan and texted me this evening all upset because she's used almost all her data for the month in two days. After looking at the phone the culprit was "motorola services." Can someone explain to me what this is, and why it might use so much data? And any ideas on if Verizon will give me that data back? Thanks for the help.

Zach

Edit- added screen shot

Not sure what exactly that does... might have to call Motorola, but why don't you use the "Restrict background data" option at the bottom that screen you showed above, scroll down it's there.

i would be a little angry. call Verizon, their call centers are 30x more helpful than the rejects at the brick and mortar stores. explain what is going on. tell them you have a screen shot of it and would be more than willing to email it to them.

So what does this do(Motorola services) anyway? Anybody know? I was tempted to freeze it and see what happened.

Found out she uploaded some movies onto photo bucket yesterday, but she thought she was on wifi. However, you can sign into photobucket by adding an account in the settings. I'm wondering if uploading things like this would go through motorola services.
