Question Move texts

Help!

I need to move texts from a Galaxy S9 to an Oppo A57.

Samsung Smart Switch app does not recognize the connection by cable and I've tried several cables and doesn't recognize the connection over the wireless network either.

SMS backup is the best ..I've used it forever and transferred text and call logs

I've tried SMSBackup and Restore but no Joy. The Oppo phone recognises the GDrive backup but doesn't import any messages.

Are any other apps more reliable?

Can you go about the steps you did with SMS Backup Pro ...don't think a phone brand would stop it from restoring

Correct, there are steps involved that you are probably missing, as SMS backup and Restore works on any device
