I found a perfect ringtone and had it sent to my phone via a text message, but I don't what to do with the attachment.

I also sent the same ringtone to my PC and tried to use my USB to move it over, but I don't know how to do that either.

Where would the ringtone be stored if it is on my phone?

I checked in music and it isn't there.

In order to move files to and from your PC to your Eris, you need to Mount the Eris to the PC. Whenever you plug in your Eris via USB to your PC, a notification on your Eris will pop up and say "USB Connected". You need to pull down your Notifications and click "USB connected". Once you do this - a popup window on your Eris will ask you to "Mount" or "Don't mount". Obviously - click "Mount".

If you're using Windows, it should automatically pop up the directory of the phone as a Disk Drive or "Removable Disk".

Copy your ringtone file to media/audio/ringtones. Then on your Eris, go to Settings - Personalize - Default Ringtone - then scroll down the list to find your ringtone.
