I moved several apps to my SD card (which it calls Move to Media) and discovered that the games, generally, just uninstalled! A couple other things, oh, two different Bibles! Anyone else? I used to just move anything that would to the card, but now I'm a bit shy about that.

Actually this a.m. discovered that nearly everything I moved to the media was *poofed*. What the ? is up with that?

Why move to SD card? This phone has dedicated apologize storage. There is abusuluty no need to move to SD card.

well, dont know if this situation applies or not, but if you move them to the SD-CARd, and then have your phone plugged into computer in something other than charge mode, the SDCARD contents become unvailable. so they would appear to disappear until you unplug the phone.

Ah, Moosc, maybe I need to learn more. On Orig Droid and my gals' Allys, moving stuff to the card freed up the memory and presumably made the phone faster...at least that's what I thought. So there's no need to screw with that at all now?

Thanks.

I can't see a reason why you would. The phone has dedicated memory for that. If that dedicated memory isn't being used it's not the phone will use it for something else.

Today's phones have PLENTY of memory for your apps.

Agreed DanH ...

"Modern" android have no need to "Move to SD" Apps.....

I am coming from iPhone to Droid razor. I know very little snou the Droid I plan on using my Droid in much the same way as my 3gs, music, surfing the net, reading and of course a few of those games. My issue is that I have loaded up my internal memory with just a fraction of my playlists and several cool apps from the market, no books yet. How do I move all that data too the sd card.

And Madden 12, which was pre-installed, is gone! Not in the market either. How can I get it back?

Plug the phone in to the computer and just copy the files from the directory they're in to a directory on the SD card. Theoretically you could do this all on the device with an app such as Astro, but I don't know how the phone would handle moving that much data.
