moving files

Hi.
I have just purchased a 32gb SD card. I have numerous files on my existing 16gb card, and would like to move them over to the 32gb card. Can I just move them from the one card to the other, or is there a specific procedure that I need to follow?

If you have two android phones, insert the 2 sd cards into the two phones separately. Then connect your 2 phones with your computer with 2 USB cables.
you can mount the 2 copy/move/delete the files on the sd-card directly.
