Hey, I've actually seen it working! It's great having a notification LED on this device.
Funny thing is that I never even noticed that small hole until I saw it start flashing.

Anyone know if it supports multiple colors?

Yes it is rgb, however takes an app such as lightflow to get all of that functionality - otherwise it tends to default to only blue and green.

I leave mine always on and just flip it face down at night, which turns the screen off. Granted, an old Moto 360 is my bedside clock.

How do you know that it turns the screen off when it's face down? You can't see the screen at that point.
I turned mine face down on a glass table and the ambient display stayed on.

I too thought someone wrote somewhere that that had been the case with the screen turning off, but I'm really not sure. Or maybe it was silencing notifications... Sorry, it's early. Not even finished with my one cup of coffee yet.

No issues with pixel 2 xl. BTW I'm going from an iPhone 7 plus. I would have gotten the pixel 2 but I do not like htc.
